Sofia Vergara has emerged as the he highest-paid actress on television for the seventh year in a row.
The talented Modern Family actress of Colombian origin had estimated earnings of $42.5 million between June 1, 2017, and June 1, 2018. Her impressive earnings are said to have come from a combination of ventures. Not only is the actress well paid for her role as Gloria on the aforementioned hit ABC comedy, but Vergara has also amassed small fortunes through lucrative licensing deals and a number of product endorsements. Examples include coffee maker SharkNinja Coffee, and furniture chain Rooms To Go.
As one would imagine, Vergara has a hardworking and dedicated team behind her making her achievements possible. Luis Balaguer, Vergara’s manager and business partner told Forbes magazine that they have implemented an effective strategy rooted in appealing to viewers of the show that gained Vergara such notoriety. "Our attention is on the people watching Modern Family and how to appeal to them outside of the show, too,” he said. "Our endorsement department is a well-oiled machine."
Vergara earned an approximate 73% more than the second-ranked actress on Forbes's list, Kaley Cuoco. Cuoco is slated to have grossed $24.5 million, 95% of which is attributed to her role on The Big Bang Theory.
