Snoop Dogg is taking contractors to court.
It's been a big year for Snoop Dogg so far. The Long Beach OG is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Doggystyle this year and he already blessed the BET Awards stage with a special medley of some classics off of the project. In addition, he also released his first gospel album Bible Of Love earlier this year. However, not everything is blessed with Snoop Dogg these days. The rapper is accusing a contractor of doing a bad job on his home renovations and not paying other workers. Now, he's taking them to court.
According to TheBlast, Snoop Dogg has filed a lawsuit against the contractors who did work on his Diamond Bar mansion. The rapper said that there were several agreements made between himself and the contractors and that he held up his end of the bargain. However, he claims they failed to do the work they promised, didn't pay subcontractors and didn't meet the regulatory requirements.
Snoop Dogg is suing the company for $500K for the alleged breaches of the agreement.
Snoop's lawsuit is actually a counterclaim to another suit filed against him as well as the companies he's suing. Snoop, as well as the contractors, were accused of not paying a $12,385.90 bill from landscaping company PDQ Enterprises. The company is seeking to place a lien on Snoop's home. They want it foreclosed with the profits used to pay them off.
Snoop Dogg wants the original lawsuit dismissed as part of his counter claim. The case is ongoing.
