Snoop Dogg has his own theories on Kanye West’s state of mind.

When asked by The View his thoughts on West’s now-infamous TMZ rant, Snoop Dogg born Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr., 46, said he thought West needed some medical attention. This comment had everyone, including the hosts and their audience, very amused. “After I got past the laughter, I started feeling sad for him.” Snoop said. “He truly misses his mother, he truly misses having a black woman in his life. He truly misses the stability of somebody telling him that he’s wrong and correcting him and checking him as opposed to allowing him to continue doing what he’s doing.” West who is married to reality TV star Kim Kardashian has received backlash for stating his views about slavery being a choice.  Snoop expressed due diligence in helping the volatile rapper-producer “To me, he’s crying out for help. Instead of me bashing him we’re trying to help now.”

Snoop has never been one to shy away from his views on hip-hop and its current zeitgeist. But when he's not providing commentary, he's knee-deep in the game. He recently collaborated with Dave East on the track “Cripn 4 Life.” And earlier this year, the rap legend released his first an album called Bible of Love, which hit number one spot on Billboard's US Top Gospel Albums.
