What the funk? Snoop Dogg has decided to go by the name Snoopzilla for his upcoming album.

The West coast rapper is currently working on a new project with musician Dam-Funk called 7 Days of Funk. Snoop says he has re-branded himself as Snoopzilla for the album, which was inspired by Funkadelic maestro Bootsy Collins who sometimes used the nickname Bootzilla.

“We’re the babies of the Mothership. I’ve had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dam-Funk is cold. He’s keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him.” Says Snoopzilla.

7 Days Of Funk will be released on December 10th on Stone Throw Records. The project has already let go of one single titled “Faden Away”, which can be heard below.
