To say it's been a great year for Smokepurpp would be an understatement. After making some waves through 2016, he made a formal entrance in the game earlier this year and has been gearing up to make an even bigger impact in 2018. His song, "Audi," has been a turn up anthem since it dropped in May and the song's success was so strong, that it ended up on his debut album, Deadstar. Now, the song has marked a monumental feat for Smokepurpp's career.

Smokepurpp's "Audi" has officially gone Gold since December 14th, meaning that it's passed 500K units so far, according to the RIAA. It's a massive moment for Smokepurpp as it marks his first gold certification. The Ronny J-produced track has made major waves online and is one of the stand-out tracks in his catalog.

While Smokepurpp receives his first gold certification, fans are now waiting for new music from him. Over the past few weeks, he's teased collaborations with a few people. He previously shared a snippet of his upcoming collab with NAV as well as a full collaborative project with Murda Beatz. A few weeks a go, Smokepurpp and Murda Beatz confirmed their collaborative project was complete. We've yet to receive a release date or any other information pertaining to it but it's definitely a project that many are waiting for in the new year. Smokepurpp recently signed to Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Label so it's likely the project will be released through there.
