Smokepurpp has been having himself quite the year. After collaborating with Murda Beatz on Bless Yo Trap, the young Florida rapper was named to the 2018 XXL Freshman List. His spot was well deserved too as he has been building a name for himself on the SoundCloud charts for years. Influencing Lil Pump and countless other rappers in their approach to music, Purpp has been at the forefront of a new generation. Currently focusing on his Deadstar 2 project and a joint tape with Pump, Lil Purpp should be busy for the remainder of the year. With plenty of music stashed away, leaks are bound to happen and it looks like that was the case with "Best Friend."
Refraining from any promotion of the new track, the official audio popped up via Worldstar's YouTube page, surprising most of Purpp's fans. Produced by A Lau, Purpp is trying to get with your best friend on this track. Nothing significantly different from anything we've heard from him in the past, Smokepurpp is sticking to a formula that has worked in the past. The track's inclusion on the upcoming DS2 is uncertain but judging from the slightly unethical nature of the upload onto WSHH, we're guessing this is just a throwaway.
