From the jump, it's clear that the record is something new, as some charmingly sloppy drums bolster a soulful guitar riff and a relatively dynamic string arrangement.
Slayter uses a conversational half-sung delivery that matches the unconventional mix of sounds he's put together to accompany him. We'll definitely be keeping our eye on whatever the 21-year-old New Yorker does next.
