The bromance of Ski Mask The Slump God and XXXTentacion was one of the new school's most iconic. Though the pair suffered a few ups and downs, they ultimately reconciled their differences, setting their sights on a forward trajectory. Sadly, everything changed when XXXTentacion was murdered in June of 2018. Naturally, the event proved traumatic for Ski, who continues to mourn his friend to this day.
Today, Ski took to Instagram to share a few unreleased photos of XXXTentacion, a treat for his expansive fanbase. Given the close nature of their friendship, many of the pictures have a candid feel to them, from day-in-the-life to action shots at concerts. It certainly puts their run into context, and given the momentum X was experiencing before his death, who knows what might have happened.
At least we can take some solace in the fact that Ski Mask is doing his best to do right by X's legacy. He recently opened up about an argument he and X had, which caused him to reevaluate his place in the game. The end result found a Slump God reinvigorated, which eventually culminated in Stokeley, his best body of work to date.
