As broken by AllHipHop, the Chicago stop on Nipsey Hussle's ongoing "Proud 2 Pay" tour took a violent turn when shots were fired near his tour bus. It's also been reported that Nipsey's friend and collaborator Rimpau was stabbed in the chest and taken to hospital with a punctured lung.

Six shots were fired in total. So far, there've been no arrests.

That's all the information we have for now. Stay tuned for updates.

[Update: Nipsey Releases Official Statement Denying Involvement]

Thankfully, it turns out neither Nipsey nor any member of his crew were involved in the alleged shooting or stabbing, which apparently happened after they'd left the venue.

Here's an official statement from his camp:

"Nipsey did perform in Chicago to a sold out successful show. Venue was cleared and Nipsey was on a bus heading back to hotel, when alleged shots were fired in radius of the venue. Neither Nipsey nor his crew were involved in any altercations or incidents in Chicago."
