Eminem's Shady Records have announced a big business move, they are now venturing into film production with Shady Films. The label has announced a new deal for content development and production with Ben Silverman’s LOUD channel in partnership with Electus.
The Shady Records website states that Shady Films will be producing web series such as Detroit's Burn Rubber (which Em already produces anyways) and Elliott Wilson's CRWN series, plus they'll be starting new series which are already in development with Shady rap group Slaughterhouse, and others.
Ben Silverman said of the deal, "Shady Films shares WatchLOUD.com's goal of employing creative vision and a fresh, unique point of view to create premium content with a focus on the music and lifestyle of today's multicultural young adults, making them a perfect partner. Plus, Eminem and Paul Rosenberg have been leading entrepreneurs on the forefront of the hip-hop community since the early '90s and I'm excited to see what we will continue to create together."
Eminem has dabbled in the movie industry before, with "8 Mile," a film loosely based off his own experiences.
