Greeen Ova's Shady Blaze and producer BLVCKHXVRT released their dark collaborative tape, Shady HXVRT, today. Amid nine great tracks of varying sounds and styles is "Fam and Money," a standout track from the project.
The song begins very gradually, with Shady Blaze's voice not actually being featured until around the one minute mark. Fortunately, he makes up for lost time by unleashing a thrilling double-time flow on BLVCKHXVRT's dope beat. Instrumentally, "Fam and Money" combines lush strings with EDM-style buildups driven by a high-octane synth lead that recalls the one on Ty Dolla $ign's "My Cabana," making us wonder where BLVCKHXVRT comes up with this shit.
A very impressive outing from the duo.
