"Dawn In Luxor" is the latest visual offering from Seattle experiment hip-hop duo Shabazz Palaces (Ishmael Butler x Tendai Maraire), written and directed by Kahlil Joseph. It's an official collaboration with French luxury brand Kenzo, and doubles as as a look book for the company's Spring/Summer 2014 collection.
The video focusses on an anonymous young man draped in Kenzo apparel, and stars Grace Mahary, Palaceer Lazaro, Tykee Dawkins and Chris Lewis, with cinematography by Jason McCormick and art direction by Partel Oliva. It was produced by Onye Anyanwu and Alejandro De Leonis of Pulse Films and What Matters Most.
"Dawn In Luxor" will be included on Shabazz Palaces' upcoming Majesty album, which is now available for pre-order via SubPop. Stay tuned, and keep up with these inimitable artists via Facebook in the meantime.
