Yesterday Bobby Shmurda and his GS9 crew made the news when it was reported that members of the crew and Shmurda were arrrested mid-recording session at New York's famed Quad studios. Along with the rappers, reports circulated that Sha Money XL, an industry insider, was also arrested.

Last night we saw footage of the arrest, as the police walked out Rowdy Rebel and others in cuffs. We also received a minimal update concerning why they were arrested: something to do with violent incidents and narcotic trafficking. Today we've received more information concerning what went down, with Sha Money XL clearing the air and confirming he was not arrested, although he was on the scene at the time.

Karen Civil spoke to Sha and he had this to say about the incident: "I was not arrested. They held me until they searched the studio then let me go. I signed these kids to give them a better way in life not to be dragged down by the media and gunned down by the 40 cops that raided the studio and pointed guns at me for working my job. You have no idea how this makes me feel or look when I’m one of the only few black men signing black artist from the streets and giving them a chance to do better in life."

Arraignments are scheduled to take place today, December 18th, in Manhattan Supreme Court tomorrow, and the indictment charges could be unsealed at this time. We will keep you posted.
