Puma is teaming up with Sonic The Hedgehog for a sneaker collab later this year in celebration of the iconic Sega video game, and today we have our first look of what to expect.

The collaboration will utilize the Puma Running Series (RS) model, a running sneaker from the 1980’s that is scheduled to make a comeback this summer. The SEGA x PUMA RS-0 Sonic features a furry blue upper, complete with yellow and red detailing as well as both PUMA and Sonic The Hedgehog logos on the tongue. Given the massive popularity of the Sonic video game series, the Sega x PUMA RS-0 Sonic figures to be one of Puma's most popular sneaker releases of the Summer.

According to Sneaker News, Adam Petrick, Director for Brand & Marketing at PUMA says, “We’re excited to be able to partner with such a fun and innovative brand with a longstanding history in popular culture. We are one with SEGA in always pushing the boundaries forward and are very proud of the fantastic result of this collaboration."

The SEGA x Puma RS-0 Sonic is set to release this June but a specific release date, pricing information and availability have not yet been revealed.
