Just over a week after his last track, "The One," Alumni rapper Sean Brown is back with a self-produced single titled "Thru the City." "I just took a drive through the city, saw too much going on through the window," sings Brown on the chorus. He raps softly and melodically on his verses, reminiscing about brighter days and simpler times.

The bouncy synth beat has a childish appeal to it and should prompt the listener to reflect in the same manner that Brown does. Bump the track on your next drive through the city for a smooth ride with a hint of painful nostalgia.

Quotable Lyrics

I was winnin' almost every night
Someone get mad, then I gotta fight
Can I go back to them better days
Big dreamin' 'cuz we run it all
