SD is one of the most consistent rappers out of Chicago, always lingering in the shadows to a certain extent, but all the while crafting a glossier take on drill that's allowed him to continue the timeline Keef abandoned after Finally Rich. His new track, "Step By Step," pairs him with Atlanta production MVPs 808 Mafia, who lace him with yet another "Kill Bill siren"-toting beat.
It never feels like an ATL record however, with the Mafia providing a hypnotic, sub-bass driven beat that sits comfortably with SD's sound. Never one to go too long without releasing a project, this could be a sign SD is coming back with another tape soon.
