If you've been following the Toronto music scene over the past few years, SAFE is a name that probably pops up quite frequently. Along with the rest of the members of Halal Gang, including the late Smoke Dawg, they made waves throughout Toronto and across the pond. SAFE's been slowly paving his own lane in the game with his sultry, cold R&B stylings. His last project, Stay Down, arrived in 2015. Since then, he's been dropping new music on a regular basis, building the anticipation for his debut album which finally arrived this morning.
Equipped with twelve tracks in total, SAFE delivers one of his most experimental efforts to date with STAY. Although his chilling Toronto-brand of R&B is included on the project, he also dabbles with elements of dancehall and afrobeat. He holds down the majority of the project on his own with QUIN and Playboi Carti serving as the only two features.
