Power duo El-P and Killer Mike (known collectively as Run The Jewels) have been teasing their sophomore album on Twitter for a while by sharing one-liners accompanied by the #RTJ2 hashtag, and now we've got a bit of music to go with those future song lyrics.
"Blockbuster Night Pt. 1" sounds like it will be a beast of a track, with its action-sequence production matched, if not topped, by alliteration-filled rapping from Mike and El. Altering between a straightforward pulse and a queasy bounce, the winding beat is expertly ridden by RTJ, who've proven themselves to be members of the master class in both teamwork and songwriting.
