Run The Jewels' sophomore project, RTJ2, was one of 2014's most acclaimed releases, namely for it's ability to tackle heavy political subject matter with style and precision. The video for one of the project's highlights, "Close Your Eyes (And Count To Fuck)" operates in a similar way, using an altercation between an unarmed black man and a police officer to represent the turbulent race relations going on in America today.
While El-P, Killer Mike, and Zach De La Rocha appear in the visual only briefly, it's certainly not short on star power, enlisting The Wolf of Wall Street‘s Shea Whigham and Selma‘s Keith Stanfield for the two roles.
