Of all the songs that have been released in the last year that attempt to tackle the seemingly endless issue of racist, violent police, Run The Jewels' "Early" is probably the best (honorable mention goes to Raury's "Fly" though). Taking an intensely personal approach, Killer Mike details being arrested in front of his wife and son, and although it doesn't really attempt to summarize the entire issue, this snapshot says more than most.
Today, it gets a video, with El-P saying that he was looking for the "right time" to drop it, but then realizing that "it is (sadly) always the right time." Watch the powerful visuals above, and let us know what you think.
