"Social distancing is a necessary evil in COVID world. Watching "Mother" reminds me just how irreplaceable the joy of being in a band is," Waters said in the tweet.

"Mother" was released on the classic 1979 album, The Wall. The lyrics touch on over-protective maternal relationships, politics, and more. Other popular songs from the album include "Comfortably Numb," and "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2."

After the lyric "Mother should I trust the government," the singer seems to mouth the words, "no f--king way."

Waters was originally scheduled to be touring across the United States this summer; however, the performances were canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. "The bad news is: I've had to postpone my tour until next year," Waters said in a release. "Bummer, but if it saves lives, it's worth it."

Live Nation has recently said they will begin testing new, safe methods of hosting concerts over the summer. Ideas include lowering capacity, drive-in concerts, and more.

After the performance he thanks his bandmates. "We should do this again, right?" he concludes.
