A Nigerian company called Megalectrics is suing Rihanna over a show they claim she backed out of, but according to Rihanna's team, neither the singer nor her reps had any contact with those behind the lawsuit.

According to TMZ, Chris Ubosi of Megalectrics claims that Rihanna's people had agreed to a concert in Nigeria that was to take place back in 2013, but after $160,000 of the $425,000 of negotiated payment was transferred, the contract was broken, the show never took place, and Ubosi was never refunded.

Roc Nation has released a statement suggesting that Ubosi was the victim of a scam, and was never in touch with Rihanna's team to begin with. Read it below.

Rihanna, Roc Nation nor anyone associated personally or professionally with either party was in contact with this person. Unfortunately this person was scammed.  Rihanna nor Roc Nation collected any money for this event.

Further updates will be provided as information arrives.
