Robin Thicke attempts to "Get Her Back" with the first single from "Paula."
On July 1st, crooner Robin Thicke will release Paula, and album that double as an ode/plea to his ex-wife Paula Patton, who split up with him in February. We now have the first official video from the album -- for a song called "Get Her Back" -- and it's just about what you'd expect from a guy trying to win back his high school sweetheart.
The music is acoustic, with a lone guitar providing Thicke his only accompaniment, the visuals are dark, largely consisting of close-up shots of THicke and a Patton lookalike, and Thicke's recently seedy reputation is represented by cuts and bruises on his face. It's a soul-baring, vulnerable portrait of Thicke, and one that he hopes will make his ex reconsider leaving him.
