Ro James came through with his sophomore album, MANTIC, on Friday (May 29th), chocked full of smooth, soulful tunes including features from Miguel, Brandy and Masego. After dropping a handful of singles to lead up to the album's release, including the Miguel-featured "Too Much," and Brandy-featured "Plan B," MANTIC has finally arrived, and it was well worth the wait.

The title of the album serves as the remainder of the word "romantic" when combined with his first name, but there's a deeper meaning to it than that. "The music I create evokes a feeling of romance, but I wanted to dissect that word and break it down by taking the 'ro' out of it," Ro explained. "MANTIC refers to divination and prophecy—seeking knowledge of the future through supernatural means. Speaking things into existence and living forward, having faith in where you’re supposed to be and where you’re going.” Check out MANTIC and let us know what you think of Ro James' sophomore effort.
