Ro James offers a melancholic voyage through a past relationship with his lead single "Excuse Me." The music video, directed by Grant Guratola and produced by Diktatorweaves, weaves grainy retrospective esthetics with saturated hues for melancholic tension. There are some nods to spirituality with frames depicting Ro James sitting alone in a room lit by a chorus of candles. The video also starts with his muse sitting cross-legged on a bed, her head veiled with a single layer of delicate chiffon.

James spoke of his inspiration for the track when it originally dropped in August.

“My art is often inspired by my life experiences. This song is about reflecting back on that relationship that made feel unsettled and still having the strength to hold your ground and move on.”

"Excuse Me" leads up to Ro Jame's forthcoming album slated for 2019 via ByStorm Entertainment/RCA Records. The sophomore project's name and specific release date have yet to be revealed.
