Two of Toronto's best-kept secrets, River Tiber and Daniel Caesar, have teamed up for a new collab, "West," that was premiered today by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 radio. Now that they've aligned themselves with OVO producer Frank Dukes, who lends the slow, hazy backdrop -- filled with mysterious vocal samples, they're sure to make it onto the radars of anyone keeping up with Toronto music.

The city has emerged as one of the world's hotbeds for innovative R&B, of which both Tiber and Caesar are purveyors. The track is deeply intimate, though that feeling is achieved with loose, sometimes barely-audible vocal washes, defying the construction of a typical pop song while keeping the same heartfelt romance.

Check out Tiber's recent "No Talk" video, and let us know if you're feeling the new Toronto sounds.

Quotable Lyrics

On the road, nowhere to go
I lost my home
So long ago
Tell me you'll miss me
Back in the city
