A plethora of celebrity came through the Met Gala 2019 to show their most fabulous looks last night. Unique styles were brought forth by Cardi B, Kim Kardashian West, Kanye, and the Kardashian-Jenner clan, French Montana, and many more. Despite the interesting and creative output the night entailed, many noticed the missing presence of the low-key (or maybe high-key) queen of the ball, Rihanna Robyn Fenty.

While some may not admit it, Rihanna has brought the house down with her previous Met Gala looks. And this so much that folks now expect the Bajan beauty to go off every year. Hence when the latter did not occur this year, many were disappointed. To make matters worse, even Beyonce did not attend this year which doubles up on our disappointment.

Fans did not shy away from sharing their concerns on social media and directly mentioned Rihanna in their pleas. While the singer has thoroughly enjoyed mocking fan reactions to her lack of musical output, she also seemed amused with the reactions accumulated from ditching the Met Gala. In an Instagram story, the singer posted a tweet which proposed Ms. Fenty was far too busy playing with makeup to pull at the Met. Clearly, Rih enjoyed laughing at our pain. Maybe next year?
