Rihanna's tireless efforts promoting her seventh studio album look like they are going to pay off.  Amidst her whirlwind, international "777 Tour" promoting Unapologetic, sales projections have her debuting at No. 1, which would shockingly be the first time in her career.

Critics have been heralding her latest effort, and it seems fans are responding the same as her album is set to debut atop Billboard 200, and besides having 6 other highly successful albums, this is the first time she will be No. 1 out the gates.

HDD (via HHNM) have the album going off at approximately 240-260k units in the first week of sales, which is impressive in today's sales climate.  With this response, will we see other artists embark on similar promotional tours when big albums drop in the future?
