On Thursday, Rihanna orchestrated her fourth annual Diamond Ball, benefiting her Clara Lionel Foundation. Several celebrities were in attendance, including Meek Mill, Fabolous, Gucci Mane, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, A$AP Rocky, LaLa Anthony, Issa Rae, and Childish Gambino. The latter was the entertainment for the evening, while rising star Issa Rae hosted the charity event. Speaking with Billboard after the event, Rihanna revealed that she's working on her album, and currently feeling Gambino's new sound.
"[He] happens to be one of my favorites," Rihanna stated. "I'm listening to his music a lot." Recently, the two were seen in Havana, Cuba, on the set of a rumored upcoming film. Gambino performed a number of his hits for the CLF charity event. The Clara Lionel Foundation “supports and funds groundbreaking and effective education, health and emergency response programs around the world.”
When asked about her latest endeavors, which include beauty and fashion lines, Rihanna answered excitedly. "It's just my soul. I can't sit still, I get bored so I have to keep doing something," she said while on the red carpet. Although Rihanna may be gracing Hollywood films such as Ocean's 8, and she has a number of other projects to attend to, fans are eagerly awaiting her new album.
