Rick Ross is relatively protective of his public persona but sometimes it bleeds into his professional career. However, it looks like the rapper is gearing up to give the people a more insightful look into his life. Rick Ross announced that he'll be releasing a memoir titled Hurricanes this fall. The book's title signifies “surviving the storms of life, according to the press release. The book, which will be published by Hanover Square Press, will explore Rozay's origin story. Neil Martinez-Belkin, who wrote The Autobiography of Gucci Mane, collaborated with Rozay on the memoir.

“My story has always been deeper than rap,” Ross said in a statement. “With this book I wanted to go deeper than I ever have. I wanted to tell people about the life of William Leonard Roberts.”

The book will speak on aspects of Ross' life that he hasn't shared in detail such as his health issues, his legal problems, as well as his background as a drug dealer in Miami and his job at a correctional officer.

"In Hurricanes, Ross moves beyond the headlines, opening up about the experiences that inform his creative process. His upbringing in Carol City. His past as both a drug dealer and correctional officer. His scuffles in the streets and in the industry. The seizures. The drive-by shootings. The 2015 arrest on kidnapping and assault charges. It is a remarkable story of not only surviving the storms of life but reaching the highest levels of achievement in spite of them," reads the synopsis.

While this is exciting, we're still waiting on Port Of Miami 2. Hopefully, it arrives before the book which drops on September 3rd.
