Just as we reported earlier, Rick Ross & fans of fellow MMG rapper Meek Mill took to the streets of Philadelphia on Monday to voice their displeasure with the ruling of Meek’s latest 2-4 year prison sentence that a judge gave him last week for violating probation. Rozay & the supporters gathered outside of the Criminal Justice Center, where they chanted “Free Meek” and even sang along to his “Dreams and Nightmares” record, the intro and title track off the Philly rapper’s debut album.

While in attendance, MMG boss Rick Ross even grabbed the mic to show Meek love in this trying time & made the following statement. “I’m here for one reason, to promote my brother Meek Mill,” he said. “I want y’all to understand that, if it takes Meek Mill to draw this attention, then we’re gonna use Meek Mill to draw this attention, and it’s gonna speak for so many others.”

In addition to Rozay, Hall-of-Fame basketball player & 76er Julius Irving, aka Dr. J, was also present at the march, giving a speech to the crowd, but was nearly drowned out by the "Free Meek" chants.

Colin Kaepernick, GQ’s “Citizen of the Year,” wasn’t able to attend but was there in spirit as he also took to Twitter to share his support for Meek as well. “Sadly there are Black folks going through the same radicalized injustice(s) within the justice system that Meek Mill has experienced for over a decade EVERY SINGLE DAY,” he wrote. “This requires more than just gradual reform in laws—It requires a swift overhaul.”

Check out a couple tweets & clips from those in attendance (below).
