Rich The Kid's been in the game for a while but it only seems that it was only recently that he began getting his recognition. As early as 2013, he's been putting in work and garnered recognition with his work with Migos on their Streets On Lock mixtape series. Since then, he's penned a deal with Interscope Records and gearing up to make a mark in the rap game with his debut album. However, his formal introduction to the masses only occurred in September after he released the Kendrick Lamar assisted single "New Freezer." That single has now earned him his first ever position on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Rich The Kid's "New Freezer" marks the rapper's first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, Billboard reports. The single is currently sitting at number 75 on the charts months after its release. They say a good chunk of the song's spike is because of the "New Freezer Challenge" the rapper created which has created numerous people swaying to the song in short Instagram clips.

Another thing that possibly helped its entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart is that Kendrick rapped his verse during his performance at the Grammys a few weeks a go.

However, the fact that it entered the Hot 100 is only the beginning for Rich The Kid. The rapper tweeted earlier, "Issa blessing!!! #NewFreezer let’s go #1." So it's safe to say he's gunning for the top spot.

Aside from his recent accomplishment, the rapper is getting ready to drop his new single "Plug Walk" this Friday.
