Rich The Kid has a brand new chain. The rapper has debuted a flashy Bart Simpson piece designed by the one-and-only Elliot Avianne, who you'll know from designing chains for Migos, 21 Savage, Trippie Redd, and more. The chain is titled "Rich Simpson," and appears to be a fusion of the rapper and Bart. Showing off the new jewelry on Instagram, Rich warned his followers "don't hurt your eyes," as he zoomed in on the shimmering diamond-encrusted piece. There has been no report on how much the chain is worth, but it certainly looks expensive.
Of course, Rich isn't the first person to rock a Bart Simpson chain. Gucci Mane, whose cartoonish taste in jewelry has arguably inspired much of hip-hop's taste in chains today, famously wore a Bart Simpson chain himself. Last year, Lil Yachty bought his own Bart chain, which seemed to be as much a tribute to Gucci as it was to the character himself. The piece actually had Gucci's 1017 logo engraved in the back of it, and Yachty tweeted out the Gucci lyric, "I got a iced out Bart where my heart used to be," along with the reveal.
Rich hasn't stated that his own Bart was inspired by Gucci, but there's no way he came up rapping in Atlanta alongside Migos and isn't aware of the iconic chain.
