It's pretty evident that Rich The Kid has a bone to pick with the way the music execs of the world handle the business side of things. It wasn't all that long ago that Rich The Kid was lashing out against Lyor Cohen of 300 Ent. with demands to be let go of his contract. As it stands, 300 Ent. is tasked with the deployment of his Rich Forever Music initiative with Jay Critch and Famous Dex, while Interscope Records handles the bulk of his solo material, the World Is Yours 1 & 2 in that particular order.

With respect to the way Lyor Cohen handles his business, Rich The Kid felt the advances being offered to the artists signed under the imprint weren't properly devises the chaotic structure of B2B dynamic. Cohen's response to Rich The Kid numerous tirades was to hold his position and point to the fact that a "contract is a contract," serving two masters. Rich offered to pay his way out of the binding deal, but Lyor Cohen stood his ground on principle.
As a result of the current impasse with 300, Rich The Kid has focused his attention on his solo endeavors with Interscope, in the hopes of publishing content on a year-round basis.

Today, in fact, Rich The Kid tried to upload a batch of songs without the label's permission. Rich The Kid outlined his intentions for the release of two notable Future and Juice WRLD collaborations. In two successive Twitter posts, Rich explained the steps he took before the songs pulled from SoundCloud within an hour of retrieving his log-in credentials.

The Interscope signee signed off on the latter post by promising to try again, in spite of the resistance he's endured thus far. It's obvious to see why the powers that be blocked his advances since it's harder to monetize a song release on SoundCloud without the multilateral support of other streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
