Rich The Kid and Jay Critch have once again united, this time for a new Rich Forever single called "Salty."

The beat is free-flowing in nature, with playful, yet oblivious synth lines flitting over pulled-back percussion. Vibe-wise, "Salty" is slightly reminiscent of former member Famous Dex's "Japan," at least as far as the instrumentation is concerned. With the beat too passive to risk stealing any thunder, both Rich The Kid and Jay Critch are given ample space to flex on it with a verse apiece.

In truth, the song feels a little underwhelming, especially given the strength of each rapper's previous material. Yet both rappers turn in respectable efforts, with Critch in particular emerging as the highlight. "I go on shopping sprees often, cause I get to the green, Boston," raps Critch, "dirty in the shower, we fuckin for hours, I got the powers, Austin." It might be nice to see them explore a few different themes every so often, but Rich Forever seem content to live lavish and remind us at ever turn.

Quotable Lyrics

I go on shopping sprees often
Cause I get to the green, Boston
Dirty in the shower, we fuckin for hours,
I got the powers, Austin
