Rapper Webbie was arrested for assault and battery early Thursday morning, although he denies his involvement in the incident.
According to TMZ, a police report was filed in Baton Rouge, Lousiana, saying Webbie attacked a woman inside a Chase Suite Hotel after having been banned from the premises earlier. He allegedly kicked her down two flights of stairs and stole her purse, including $340 in cash.
According to the report, Webbie was arrested around 2:30 A.M. A rep for Webbie, however, says that although the rapper did meet the woman behind the accusations, he did not push her down the stairs nor steal her money.
The rep says Webbie did take money from her purse, but it was his own money which the woman in question had stolen from earlier.
Webbie was released yesterday on $9,000 bond and is planning to fight these accusations.
