Ramriddlz is fresh of a performance in NYC over the weekend, but leading up to the SOB's show, the Toronto native dropped off some new music, "Hey Mr. Ramrod." Please give us a late pass for this record.
Take a cue from the song's opening words: "if you don't know who Ramriddlz is, you're gunna get familiar." The singer is taking his time with the come-up, releasing records months apart, but everything he's released has been melodic gold. The Island influence in his voice permeates "Hey Mr. Ramrod," which takes a few eccentric twists and turns along its 3:29 minutes. Ram takes on octave levels once unknown, alongside the groovy drum patterns of Cameron Pasquale and Jaegen.
This song follows up another Jamaican-inspired record, "Bodmon" from the other month.
