One of the most storied rivalries in not just NBA history, but sports history, is between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics. Both teams have faced off against one another in countless NBA Finals and always provide some pretty exciting games. The rivalry was on full display last night as the Lakers traveled to Boston for a game that could jump-start their hopes of a playoff push. In the end, it was former Celtics player Rajon Rondo that proved to be the hero for the purple and gold as his buzzer-beater propelled the team to a 129-128 victory.

Heading into the game, pundits and fans alike were worried that the Lakers were without chemistry after all of the trade rumors surrounding Anthony Davis. Davis was another piece to the famous Lakers and Celtics rivalry since the green and white have been trying to acquire the Pelicans superstar as well. In the end, though, it was the Lakers time to shine.

LeBron James and the Lakers are now ranked 10th in the Western Conference with a record of 28-27. They are two games back of the playoffs but still have plenty of time to make a bit of a run.
