VH1's new series, "Soundclash", is set to pair popular acts for genre-blending collaborations, and will be executive produced by Questlove.

Complex reports that The Roots drummer and hip-hop icon Questlove is all set to executive produce a new VH1 music-based series titled "Soundclash" for the network's Fall programming schedule. The show is intended to showcase three artists from different sounds and genres of music performing on one stage. Collaborators will be asked to spontaneously perform original music, covers and current hits on the spot. Participants include A-list talent from the likes of Lil Wayne and Fall Out Boy to the UK's London Grammar (all of whom will perform on the show's debut).

Diplo will serve as the show's host. The second episode is slated to feature Ed Sheeran, Sia, and rock band Grouplove. "Soundclash" debuts on July 23rd. Until then, keep your eyes peeled for more line-ups as they're bound to be announced leading up to the premiere.

What three cross-genre artists would you like to see collaborate?
