Rap superstars Migos were guests at NYU last Saturday, hosting a masterclass at Iris & B. Gerald Cantor film center in association with the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. In a series of personal anecdotes, Quavo admitted that, at first, not everybody felt his music -- except for Offset. He was conspicuous by his absence at "Culture Class."

“I passed my first CD out and I got laughed at," he said. "Everybody laughed at me […] The first intro was like ‘Yeah, this that intro, this that intro, this that intro, welcome to the show.’ So they were saying that the whole time, like every day in school ‘This that intro’ and just laughing at it. But I was in the cafeteria one day, and Offset walked up on me like ‘Yo, that mixtape you just dropped bro? I like it. Put me in the studio bro, let me work with you.’ And I looked at him, and he was the only one in the school that was really rocking with me at the time, that’s on God.”

Takeoff was younger than the other two so wasn't involved with the music yet. Peep the video and take the class yourself.
