If you missed it yesterday, XO artist Nav decided to call out XXL & their annual Freshman list, saying it was “trash” before make a public statement to other fellow artists. “We shouldn’t look to a magazine for validation or to tell us if we "hot or not", especially one that hasn't been credible for 10 years @xxl. Make music for yourself and your fans. I would never show up for the Freshman List cuz I don't need their approval,” he captioned his post.

At the time, some people thought Nav was just salty he was left off this year’s list, but it appears other peers feel the same way as he does. On Tuesday, Migos rapper Quavo decided to come to Nav’s defense and give him a co-sign for his harsh comments, by telling Nav to not worry about it and that they (Migos) weren't picked either.

“Don’t Trip @beatsbynav @XXL  Didn’t Pick Migos Either!!!! 🖕🏾Freshman List,” Quavo tweeted. However it was revealed that the Migos didn't make the cover because they were a group and not individual artists, which is a little different than Nav, but they're still siding with him.

The tweet came just hours before Quavo shared his high school football reel, which you can peep right here if you missed it.

Check out the tweet (below) and let us know your thoughts on the XXL impact. Has the Freshman List lost some of its influence & credentials or is it still as important as ever?
