A new film in the Shaft franchise is set to arrive in the coming weeks with Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as John Shaft. The film also stars Jessie T. Usher, who plays Shaft's son, and Richard Roundtree with Tim Story to serve as the director. The film was written by Kenya Barris and Alex Barnow but now, it looks like they've revealed which artists might be featured on the soundtrack.

Quavo and Boi-1da seem to have a big role in the forthcoming Shaft film. Earlier today, Quavo shared a trailer and revealed that he and Boi-1da teamed up to recreate the iconic theme song for Shaft which was originally made by Isaac Hayes. Quavo and Boi-1da shared a snippet of their version on social media.

Musically, it looks like the Migos have been slowing down this year. The Atlanta trio flooded the streets since 2017's Culture with new music. In 2018, the group released Culture II as well as solo albums from Quavo and Takeoff. Offset's solo effort, Father Of 4, arrived earlier this year after several setbacks. The crew also embarked on one of the biggest North American tours with Drake last year on the "Aubrey & The Three Migos" tour.

Migos were readying the release of the third installment in the Culture series which they said would arrive this year. However, as previously mentioned, the group has been laying low recently with Offset announcing in February the group's project would arrive in 2020.
