"Sometimes when you make records you just know that people aren't doing things in the same lane as you."

That's Pusha T, talking about "Lunch Money," his new Kanye West-produced single that, with a 59% user rating, had many people scratching their heads when it dropped yesterday. Speaking to the somewhat abrasive sonic characteristics Kanye included on the track, King Push said,

"He know that when he does these unorthodox tracks that I'm probably gonna be the first one up to bat."

He also hinted that this will show up on King Push, his upcoming album:

“That’s the type of energy I’m looking for in creating this new King Push album. It needs to be rebellious and angry. I was trying to go for that, I have expressed that to [Kanye] so many times, so I guess when he was cooking up, this is what he came up with.”
