Prodigy Memorial Mural In Queensbridge Defaced

It only took one day for the piece to be vandalized.

Within a day of the completion of Prodigy's commemorative mural in the Queensbridge housing projects, the piece has been vandalized. As Fader reports, Cormega, a friend and collaborator of the late Mobb Deep rapper, has posted a picture of the current state of the mural, which is splattered with white paint. "This is some sucker shit," Cormega captioned the photo.

The painting was created by artists Jeff Henriquez and Eli-Eos in tribute to the rapper, who passed away from complications due to sickle-cell disease last month. It took 5 days to complete. View a picture of the mural following its completion Friday, below.
