The cross-generational New York team of Boogz Boogetz and Prodigy already gave us one Drew Skillz-produced track from their forthcoming Young Rollin Stoners project today, "Next Level," and now they're back with another. "40 Oz" is more relaxed than its predecessor, but no less dope.
Despite its Brew-referencing title, "40 Oz" sounds more smoked out than it does drunken, making great use of a low-key guitar lick and impeccably smokey Wurlitzer keys. Both Boogetz and his Mobb Deep companion turn out dope verses, and their chorus is aided by female backing vocals that add to the song's tranquil vibe. Excited to hear the full project.
