The Toronto rap scene is quickly establishing itself as a viable breeding ground for talent. Although many of the more names associated with the hip hop community in Toronto are from the surrounding parts, the Prime Boys represent the prime real estate of the Downtown sector. The Prime Boys are formed of three childhood friends, Jay-Jimmy-Donnie.
The group's polished sound is derived from years of practice and through their model of friendship. The group has worked with high-profile producers such as Murda Beatz, himself an Ontario native. "Sopranos" is very much a tale mixing kinship with hard decisions. Tony Soprano had to put down some of his closest mates over a similar blood oath.
