Playboi Carti brings the punk rock energy to his new "RIP" video.
Playboi Carti is fresh off the release of his debut album, Die Lit. The rapper was relatively quiet in the moments leading up to it's release but he definitely didn't disappoint those that were waiting on it. Die Lit debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 with 61K equivalent album units sold within the first week. After letting the album resonate with fans for a few weeks, he releases his first visual off the project for "RIP."
Playboi Carti delivers the very punk rock video for his song, "RIP" off of his latest project. The album's cover itself hones into punk rock culture but Carti brings the album art to life in his new video for "RIP." The video sees the rapper performing in an incredibly lit mosh pit while crowdsurfing and generally causing havoc. The black and white video was done by AWGE.
Aside from his new album and video, fans were expecting the rapper to hit the road shortly after. However, Carti cancelled his Austrialian tour due to "personal reasons" a few days before he was supposed to perform. Hopefully, he ends up re-scheduling new dates for Australian fans and also embarks on a North American tour soon.
