Yesterday afternoon the New York Knicks pulled off a trade for Derrick Rose and now Phil Jackson has his sights on the biggest name in this year's free agent class, Kevin Durant. Gee, ya think?

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, the Zen Master has assured Derrick Rose that he's going after Kevin Durant next which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, but now at least the Knicks have a roster (somewhat) worth consideration for KD.

As it turns out, Phil Jackson told Rose of his "master plan" back on July 1st and believes that acquiring the former MVP is a major building block for the team to lure Kevin Durant away from Oklahoma City.

In reality, he'll probably just re-sign with OKC or end up in Golden State, if you believe Chris Broussard, but this bit of news can at least give misguided Knicks fans something to get excited about on a Draft Day where they have no draft picks at all.
