Pete Davidson seems to have decided to take a break from the social media platform.
Pete Davidson has cleared his Instagram feed completely. No actual posts can be found on his page. His IG Live feature is still active, however. This is a surprise for many who have enjoyed the entertainer's frequent posts.
The comedian and his fiance, Ariana Grande, have been quite public about their relationship. Ever since their engagement, the pair has been actively displaying their affection for each other in all kinds of ways, many of which were shared social media. Fans have enjoyed interacting with the couple on their respective socials. It seems like these exchanges might have overwhelmed Davidson.
The posts' deletion comes after yet another instance of negative feedback from fans. Last Thursday, Ariana posted a picture of her late grandfather. Pete commented on the photo that also featured Ariana by writing, "omg what a cutie." Fans were quick to jump at his virtual throat. Many expressed how his comment was inappropriate.
Davidson hopped into the comments section that has since been disabled:
“Are you guys all insane? I was talking about how cute her grandpa is. What’s wrong with that? You guys will really look for anything to attack people. It’s sad.”
The reason for the state of Pete Davidson's Instagram has yet to be confirmed. It is still likely to be linked to his constant reception of critique from his future wife's fans.
