Pete Davidson has teamed with Judd Apatow to work on a film that will loosely be based on his life, Variety reports. The project is being categorized as a comedy and will cover the 25-year-old's life since growing up in Staten Island and losing his firefighter father from New York's September 11th attacks.

Pete has previously discussed how his father's death inspired his work, most specifically stand-up comedy which led to him becoming the youngest cast on Saturday Night Live. "Judd Apatow will produce the pic for his Apatow Productions alongside Barry Mendel. They share producing credits on The Big Sick, Bridesmaids, This Is 40, Trainwreck, and Funny People," the publication writes.

The untitled film is set to begin production this summer.

The Set It Up actor was a big part of many headlines last year since he dated Ariana Grande for a brief stint before they called off their engagement. After their relationship ended Pete went through some dark times and shared some troubling posts to social media that was followed by him taking a social media hiatus.

“Just don’t go online. It doesn’t make me very happy. Even if it’s not about me, it’s random s*** like, ‘Trump farts’. I’m not a fan of it," he previously stated
